"O amor enchia a barriga."

I know by instinct, his reserve springs from an aversion to showy display of feeling - to manifestations of mutual kindliness. He'll love and hate equally under cover, and esteem it a species of impertinence to be loved or hated again.

Do amor e outros demónios #16

Jax: I'm sorry you got pulled into this, she's a god dammed train racker.
Nero: She's still you mother.  Respect that. She's been caught  between a husband she hates and a kid she thinks hates her. Women like you mum, Jax, they don't do so good without a family. Go easy.

from S05E07 of TV Show Sons of Anarchy

Violet, Dowager Countess Grantham is back

Countess: The groom never sees the bride the night before the wedding.
Martha: Nothing ever alters for you people, does it? Revolutions erupt and monarchies crash to the ground and the groom still cannot see the bride before the wedding.
Countess: You Americans never understand the importance of tradition.
Martha: Yes, we do. We just don't give it power over us. History and tradition took Europe into a world war.

life is a game

Richard: Do you always play charades on Christmas night?
Violet: This isn't charades, this is the game.
Richard: Do you enjoy these games? In which the player must appear ridiculous?
Violet: Sir Richard, life is a game in which the player must appear ridiculous

Soltas #30

If I take death into my life, acknowledge it, and face it squarely, I will free myself from the anxiety of death and the pettiness of life - and only then will I be free to become myself.

Martin Heidegger

'cause friendship can be deeper than love

Wilson: Are you really OK that there's only five months left?
House: No, but it's better than nothing.
Wilson: Um, how do we start?
House: Well, I'm not going to say I love you.
Wilson: Thank God. Got any Oreos?

Makes it very easy to end up alone

Anna: But now I'm always in a new apartment or in another hotel somewhere.
Oliver: How do you keep hold of friends? Or boyfriends?
Anna: Makes it very easy to end up alone. To leave people.
Oliver: You can stay in the same place and still find ways to leave people.

Do filme: Beginners (2010)

I do trust myself

Cindy: What did it feel like when you fell in love?
Gramma: Oh... oh dear, I don't think I found it
Cindy: Even with grandpa?
Gramma: Maybe a little, in the beginning. He didn't really have any regard for me as a person. You gotta be careful with that. You gotta be careful with the person you fall in love is worth it... to you.
Cindy: I never want to be like my parents. I know they must've loved each other at one time right? To just get it all out of the way before they had me. How do you trust your feelings when they can just disappear like that?
Gramma: I think the only way you can find out is to have the feeling. You're a good person. You have the right to say I do trust. I do trust myself.

(from movie: Blue Valentine)

Maybe...

Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment you never gave up hope.

“Romance is dead. It was acquired in a hostile takeover by Hallmark and Disney, homogenized, and sold off piece by piece.”

Ryan Gosling vs Leonard (Johnny Galecki)

Penny: So you're saying if I became a famous movie star, we got married, you wouldn't sign a pre-nup?
Leonard: Absolutely not! If I'm gonna be stuck at home with the kids while you're on location cheating on me with Ryan Gosling ... then Leonard gots to get paid.

do filme "A Little Romance (1979)"

Lauren King: I used to think, maybe a long time ago, like... like in the time of the pharaohs or Louis the 13th that, there was somebody, made just perfect for me. I mean, when you think about it and consider that your feelings of love, begin when you're about ten and if you live to say 70, well that's pretty limiting because, what chances there that he'll be alive at the same time you are? You know?
Daniel Michon: I feel the same things. I mean, even if she lived in my lifetime. What if my perfect woman lived in India or California or Brazil? What chance is there that I'd meet her when I live in La Garenne?
Lauren King: It's incredible isn't it?

Daniel Michon: Absolutely... incredible.

talvez não seja romântica, o "good job" não me atraí

Dean: I feel like men are more romantic than women. When we get married we marry, like, one girl, 'cause we're resistant the whole way until we meet one girl and we think I'd be an idiot if I didn't marry this girl she's so great. But it seems like girls get to a place where they just kinda pick the best option... 'Oh he's got a good job.' I mean they spend their whole life looking for Prince Charming and then they marry the guy who's got a good job and is gonna stick around

From movie: Blue Valentine

James: Cheer up. Remember what the Monty Python boys say.
Helen: "Always look on the bright side of life"?
James: No, "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Ambrósio, apetece-me ... rever

Claire Colburn: Do you ever just think "I'm fooling everybody"?
Drew Baylor: You have no idea.
